Swiftway improves its network with Noction IRP
Palo Alto, California, May 21, 2012
Noction, a provider of cutting-edge network performance technology, today announced the agreement with Infrastructure as a Service, CDN and dedicated server provider Swiftway to deploy the Noction Intelligent Routing Platform in up to 20 of Swiftway's network POP Locations.
The Intelligent Routing Platform (IRP) is designed to dramatically improve performance, reduce latency and route actively around network problems within or outside of a Multi-homed network. Noction IRP has also the potential to reduce the cost of bandwidth in a multi-homed BGP network.
Initially Swiftway will start deploying Noction IRP technology in their primary Amsterdam, Chicago, New York and San Jose POP locations and roll out the IRP progressively over its CDN POP locations.
"Our goal is to provide the best possible network to our customers, with the Noction IRP enhancing our multi uplink network, we are very confident that our network performance will increase substantially," said Remon Akkermans, Vice President in charge of Strategy and Development "the IRP will also actively route around problems like congestion or blackouts in networks of our upstream providers, this will further increase our network stability and uptime, that is already counted amongst the best in the industry"
Customers of an IRP enhanced network will see lower latency and fast, intelligent routing adjustments in case of congestion or blackouts in a networks upstream provider. Applications like Voice over IP, Streaming Video and Audio and Internet gaming platforms are very sensitive to disturbances on the Internet, users of latency dependent applications will see superior performance using a IRP enhanced multi homed network over a standard BGP network.
"We are very excited to deploy our cutting-edge routing optimization technology in the network of Swiftway" said Noction president Grigore Raileanu "The IRP will optimize both the IPv4 and the IPv6 routes of the Swiftway network"
Noction IRP is currently the only routing performance optimization platform that can optimize both IPv4 as well as IPv6 routes in a network.
