    Data CenterRack Setup

    All Swiftway data center locations are rented from specialized Data Center management companies, allowing Swiftway to focus on its network build and core business.
    These Data Centers are either Tier-3+ or Tier-4 facilities, representing the highest possible redundancy rating in the Data Center industry. The Data Centers have a dual powerfeed setup, with completely separated A (Active) and B (Backup) powerfeeds. These powerfeeds have each their own set of Emergency backup generators and a Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) with instantaneous failover if the primary UPS fails.

    Each rack is deployed in one of the following methods

    Normal use:

    A Juniper switch featuring redundant power supplies, up to 4 x 10 Gbps ports to our core infrastructure and 48 x 1 Gbps ports down to the servers.

    High bandwidth use:

    A Juniper switch featuring redundant power supplies and up to 48 x 10 Gbps ports.

    These racks are deployed in groups of 10, utilizing the Juniper Virtual chassis technology to connect and group these switches with eachother by at least 2 x 64Gbps and allowing redundant switch management setups.

    Each server comes with at least three network ports:

    1. A gigabit port or 10 gigabit port to be used for Public (to the Internet) or Private (Internal network) bandwidth connections.
    2. Another gigabit port or 10 gigabit port to be used for Public (to the Internet) or Private (Internal network) bandwidth connections.
    3. A gigabit port for out of band management, remote media support and hardware health monitoring.
    We can add an optional 4 port 1 Gbps card or dual port 10 Gbps card to each server, allowing for maximum bandwidth expandability.

    In Every location, we have build upon our own network AS35017 to provide a reliable, predictable and consistent network quality in all the Data Center locations. The Swiftway network was built from the ground up to provide the highest possible quality network performance. Each server comes with triple network ports, for segregated Public Network, Private Network and Management Network access. 40Gbps of connectivity to the rack-20Gbps to the Private Network, 20Gbps to the Public Network-provides exceptional and consistent network performance for every system.
